Welcome to Mother Hen, a nonprofit redefining postpartum care.
We offer support that’s rooted in nourishing a new mother—with healing food, rest, and compassion for whatever challenges she’s facing. Because postpartum care should meet moms where they are—and remind them they’re not alone.

Help us build the village every mother deserves.

Postpartum care has been overlooked for far too long, and we believe it’s time for a change. We’re leading a movement to redefine what real support looks like for new mothers - not just in the hospital, and not just in the first few days, but in the messy, exhausting, beautiful weeks and months that follow. We’re showing up in tangible ways: with nourishing food, emotional care, and hands-on help when it’s needed most. At Mother Hen, we believe that rest is not a luxury, nourishment is not optional, and no mother should ever feel forgotten. Because every mother deserves more than a “you’ve got this” - she deserves a village.

Why give?

  • You’re helping us care for moms the way they care for everyone else - with food, warmth, and love.
Your support provides nourishing, healing meals designed specifically for postpartum recovery.

  • You’re helping change how we care for mothers.
Your support fuels a movement rooted in compassion, reminding the world that postpartum care is essential - not optional.

  • You support mental, physical, and emotional healing.
We use food, rest, and gentle healing modalities to help moms recover fully -not just physically, but as whole human beings.

  • You make postpartum care accessible.
Every mom deserves support after birth, no matter her income, relationship status, or circumstances. Your donation makes that possible.

  • You’re supporting the foundation every family is built on. Healthy moms raise healthy children. Your support strengthens families and entire communities - starting with her.

  • You make room for rest in a season that rarely allows it. With your help, we can offer comfort, calm, and moments of peace to moms who need it most.

“The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new.”
